Spider Webs and Cows

The other day Caden was playing in the backyard with his friend Dillon. While playing, I was in the kitchen feeding McKylah her favorite food green beans. A few minutes into her feeding Caden came into the house and told me he made a spider web outside. I then said,"good job bud" not really thinking about it figuring that he probably drew a web with chalk. He then said, "come and see it." So I cleaned up McKylah and walked outside to amuse him, only to see he wasn't kidding about making a spiderweb! The kids found one of Gabe's old baseballs, and unraveled it! So while this was a ton of fun to get down, I thought it was pretty amusing that it really was a spider web. Since we are on the topic of Cade's creativity here is one of his masterpieces. While I was making dinner, Caden was busy building with his blocks. He told me he made a cow. And of course I congratulated him on his project not really thinking he made a cow out of blocks. But, when he went to show it to me I could see how he really thought it was a cow. Caden explained to me that the brown wood was his body, the orange block was his tail. The red cylinders were horns, the red squares were his eyes, the orange triangle was a mouth, and the green block was his hair! This kid cracks me up, and I just love all of the things he comes up with. I needed to blog this so that I could remember some of his artwork.
